Lamp Makeover

There were two lamps given to us since we moved back from FL to VA. A tall one (picture shown) and a table lamp which both have the same type of lamp shade, just plain white. I wanted to make it look a little bit more interesting.

So I decided to make something that will show something about us. I used burlap, sharpie and jute as my primary material

 I wrote two of my and my husband's favorite love songs and then added some detail to fill up the spaces left after i wrote the songs.

What is pretty neat about (and I did not expect it all) is when you turn the lights on the texts kinda fade.

Both turn out really amazing. And I'm so happy about it. :)
